Turkish ties up with new luxury brands for amenity kits

Inflight amenity kit supplier, Formia, has extended its relationship with Turkish Airlines with a new three-year contract to supply a range of branded kits across the airline’s cabins including long- and short-haul business class, premium economy and long-haul economy.

The range of kits includes overnight kits, children bags, and Hajj kits specifically developed for pilgrims en route to Mecca. All these kits have been exclusively designed for Turkish Airlines and feature various new items.

Under the terms of the deal, different kits for outbound and inbound flights in long-haul business class. One kit is a branded bag from luxury fashion house Cerruti 1881 containing items from the Parisian Institut Karité Paris renowned Shea cosmetic range, with the other being a multi-purpose bag from British lifestyle Jaguar brand containing a variety of Jaguar branded cosmetics.

Short-haul cusiness class passengers will receive Cerruti 1881 and Furla bags, both containing Institut Karité Paris cosmetics.

Comfort Class (premium economy) and long-haul economy class flights will feature a choice of Chopard branded bags and cosmetics, or an Institut Karité Paris branded bag and cosmetics as well as foldable slippers.

Commenting, Roland Grohmann, managing director of Formia, said: “The mix of iconic lifestyle luxury and car brand names we are introducing to the airline, I believe, takes on-board amenity kits to a new level of luxury. This is the first time the brands selected for the airline’s business class flights have ever been available on board aircraft.”
