Gilat Satellite Networks has announced that its commercial division has recently secured more than US$25 million worth of orders from unnamed ‘leading global satellite operators’ for multi-orbit technologies, and that it is seeing accelerating demand for in-flight connectivity (IFC) services. Deliveries are scheduled throughout 2025 and 2026.
The orders are for Gilat’s products and services for multi-orbit constellations – GEO (Geostationary Earth Orbit), MEO (Medium Earth Orbit) and LEO (Low Earth Orbit) – including ground segment infrastructure, network management systems, and value-added services. Increasing demand from airlines for broadband connectivity accounts for a high proportion of the order value.
“We’re seeing accelerating demand for high-quality in-flight connectivity as satellite operators expand their service offerings to meet rising expectations from the aviation industry,” said Ron Levin, president of Gilat’s commercial division.
