BBC Studios, the commercial arm of the BBC, has expanded its partnership with Delta Air Lines to include the live, 24-7 BBC News channel. The deal unlocks access to the BBC’s breaking news for passengers flying on domestic flights in the US on Delta aircraft equipped with live satellite TV.
“Delta Air Lines is a trailblazer in travel and we’re proud to expand our long-standing relationship to now include the launch of BBC News as part of their lineup of premier channels on their live satellite TV,” said Zina Neophytou, SVP Out of Home & BBC News commercial development at BBC Studios.
Audiences on-board Delta’s domestic fleet will be able to watch BBC News, including US evening primetime coverage anchored by presenters Sumi Somaskanda, and Caitríona Perry from Washington D.C. Audiences will also be able to find popular BBC programmes, including World News America, Influential with Katty Kay, Business Today, NYSE – Opening Bell, and The Travel Show.
