IMG, the global sports marketing agency, has secured the rights to broadcast the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 competition on Sport 24, the live sports channel available to airlines and cruise ship operators. The agreement grants IMG exclusive live rights to broadcast the football (or soccer if you prefer) tournament globally on Sport 24’s channels.
The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, taking place in Switzerland from the 2nd to 27th of July, is the 14th edition of the tournament. The event will see England’s ‘Lionesses’ team return to defend their trophy after a win in 2022, while Poland and Wales will make much-anticipated appearances in their tournament debuts.
The tournament joins a busy schedule of live sport on Sport 24’s channels this summer, alongside the Wimbledon Championships (tennis), The Open (golf), and Formula 1. The Women’s EURO is the latest addition to Sport 24’s live football coverage offer, which includes the FIFA World Cup 26, Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Nations League matches, as well as the AFC Asian Cup.
It follows what IMG says was “hugely successful” coverage of the UEFA Euro 2024 competition and UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 on Sport 24’s channels.
Richard Wise, SVP of content and channels at IMG, said: “This summer is set to be another fantastic season of sport on our channels, where passengers can enjoy world-class football, tennis and golf, among so much more. Football continues to rank among our most-watched competitions, and we expect UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 will be no different, as passengers around the world tune in to root for their favourite teams and players.”
Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA’s director of marketing, added: “We are very pleased to continue our partnership with IMG as the home of the upcoming UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 across airlines and cruise ships around the world. Passengers will be offered an extensive and excellent coverage of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, with matches broadcast live on Sport 24’s channels”
The Sport 24 channels are owned, operated and licenced by IMG. They can be watched on several carriers during flight, including Etihad Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific, and on cruises with Carnival Group, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian Cruise Line and Fred Olsen.
Sport 24 also shows live action from the NBA, NFL (inflight only), golf’s majors, tennis grand slams, cricket tournaments and more.
