Premium economy headphones win design prize

October 26, 2016 – Phitek is already enjoying success with its recently launched Business Lite headphones, as the design has scored a silver prize in the ‘Best Product Design: Non-Consumer’ category of the annual New Zealand Best Design Awards.

Phitek has developed two versions of Business Lite headphones – noise cancelling and non-noise cancelling – both of which are designed as a way to help airlines differentiate their premium economy cabins from standard economy, and both of which can last 100 flight sectors and be customized with airline branding.

“When developing Business Lite headphones, we were determined to provide Phitek’s signature premium sound quality while minimizing the cost of ownership for the airlines,” stated Phitek’s product and marketing director, Chris van der Loo. “The Best Design Award is a recognition that we not only managed to deliver high-quality technical design; we also carefully considered physical aesthetics and incorporated premium styling and high-end comfort for the passenger”.
