New partnership develops automatic flammability test chamber

QCM and 4Drive&Aviation have partnered to offer traceable burn testing to aviation and other industries. A key initiative of the partnership is Flamelab 4.0, which the partners claim is the world’s first automatic flammability test chamber, capable of performing 12-second and 60-second vertical bunsen burner tests without human input.

The chamber can also provide automated result analysis, which can remove human error factors and misinterpretation of regulations – and enable companies to perform flammability tests of materials in-house without requiring extensive knowledge and experience of the process.

“By starting this collaboration, we are aiming to bring new ideas and solutions to the market which will help our customers to step into a new world of possibilities related to the certification and research within aircraft interiors,” stated Jakub Gałkiewicz, laboratory manager at 4Drive&Aviation.
