MedAire to replenish Virgin’s on board medical equipment

Following a tender process, Virgin Atlantic has expanded its relationship with MedAire, a provider of medical and travel safety solutions for airlines, to replenish the medical kits and equipment on board its aircraft. VMedAire will provide refurbishment services for Virgin Atlantic’s medical kits, including the Emergency Medical Kit, Emergency First Aid Kit, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Module (in 1990, Virgin Atlantic was the first airline to equip its fleet with AEDs).

“Virgin Atlantic and MedAire have enjoyed a longstanding relationship directed at enhancing passenger well-being and managing in-flight medical events,” said Steve Richardson, General Manager for Quality Safety and Security at Virgin Atlantic. “When MedAire expanded their medical kit refurbishment capabilities in Europe, we were keen to see how this could further enrich the service we provide to crew and passengers.”
