In this behind-the scenes video, British Airways engineer Peter Dyer reveals the test processes for its evacuation slides, which are conducted on an almost daily basis but rarely seen. The team checks the systems, and frequently ‘blow’ the slides to ensure they work properly, with a 14m (46ft) long slide taking just six seconds to fully roll out. Join Dyer on a B777-200 at Gatwick as he shows how it’s done.
