Condor, the German leisure airline, has selected Recaro Aircraft Seating to supply the economy-class cabins of 28 Airbus A321 and 13 A320 aircraft due to be delivered between 2024 and 2028. The order is for nearly 9,000 seats, which will be installed in a hybrid economy plus and economy layout.
For the former, the BL3710 seat has been selected, with comfort amenities including individual USB power, an enhanced ergonomic seat bottom, an adaptable tray table, elongated armrests, and a device holder.
For standard economy, the lightweight (8kg) SL3710 model has been selected, with USB power access at each seat, and an integrated cup holder. There is commonality of components between the BL3710 and SL3710 models, which contributes to reduced maintenance expenses for the airline.
