Lumiscaphe updates its digital mockup software

Clients of aircraft seating company Sogerma are often wowed by the software used to visualise their seat range in different cabin configurations and colour schemes. The company behind the technology – Lumiscaphe – has released the latest version (version 6) of its P3D software suite, which is intended to help clients create digital mockups, integrated into the digital PLM/technical database process. The latest developments in the software include the integration of a range of animation capacities; an environment for kinematic creation, including a camera editor, dynamic textures, timelines and animated camera paths; a configuration system that functions independently in each viewport; and a unified software development kit. The sharing, diffusion, and online validation features are intended to deliver a collaborative experience and increase interaction between the final user and a 3D digital mockup.

P3D Portal is an intranet sharing platform for preparing and publishing high-quality imagery. The portal facilitates the management of a portfolio of documents across many file types associated with a project or a product. A Product Data Management application means that each team has access to the same Digital Aspect Mockup in client meetings, in the office, in the showroom, or on the go.
