Premium economy seat developed by Timco

Timco Aerosystems has unveiled its 3040 FeatherWeight premium economy seat, developed in response to growing demand by operators seeking to implement their own variations of the fast-growing premium economy cabin.

On the 3040 seat, Timco engineers reduced the size of the center console, added more under-seat clearance, and redesigned the armrest. The result is a seat that can be installed at a pitch of 38in without inhibiting the ease of egress for passengers – even when the seat back of the forward seat is at full recline. The passenger’s perceived “living space” is enhanced due to greater hip clearance from the newly designed armrests and center console.

Rick Salanitri, president of Timco Aerosystems stated, “We have carefully listened to what airlines and their customers have been seeking in this still-evolving seat segment. Our engineers worked to successfully create a new seat that delivers a premium treatment without sacrificing cabin footprint.”
