April 21, 2015: In line with its goal of strengthening its position in the economy and business class seat sectors, Recaro premiered a new business seat at Aircraft Interiors Expo 2015 in Hamburg that it believes rounds off its product offer.

The CL5710 is designed for short-haul and medium-haul flights on narrow-body aircraft, and combines useful stowage space, a legrest and a generous recline to fit the most comfort into its minimum 45in pitch. The electrical actuation also includes various predefined seating positions, a lumbar support and an integrated massage feature.

Recaro has already received the first customer order for this seat.

The seat can be equipped with the latest IFE systems and an integrated in-arm monitor of up to 13in. Further IFE-friendly features include stowage options for electronic devices and personal belongings, and power plugs and ports in the center console.

“This combination of features has already convinced an Asian customer. We are very happy to announce that our new CL5710 will be integrated into the A320 neo in 2016,” stated Dr Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating.
