Geven Aircraft Seats and Interiors has delivered the first shipset of Essenza economy class and Comoda premium economy class seats for S7 Airlines’ Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Geven’s Essenza economy class seat for S7 Airlines

The Essenza seat has a backrest recline of up to 5in, an integrated in-seat power system (USB & ACOU outlets) from Astronics, a four-way headrest, an in-arm table with integrated device holder, a coat hook, a literature and amenity pocket, and a ‘Super Comfort’ bottom cushion manufactured by Greiner.

The composite backrests of the eight Comoda seats in the premium economy cabin have an 8in recline, with comfort features including a leather central console with a soft-touch 8.6in armcap, an adjustable four-way headrest, and a soft-touch 2.8in endbay with a double-leaf in-arm table and integrated device holder. The seats also feature an integrated in-seat power system (USB & ACOU) from Astronics.

The delivery is part of a larger partnership with S7 Airlines, a Russian carrier, which began in 2017 with a retrofit programme of Piuma Evo economy class seats and Comoda business class seats for the airline’s Airbus A321 aircraft. In 2019 the partnership was extended with an order for 16 line-fit shipsets for A320s and A321s. The airline will be flying a total of approximately 3,000 pax places of Essenza, and 130 of Comoda in the next few years.

“Working together with S7 Airlines’ team on the first line-fit project has been a fantastic opportunity for Geven. The result of their cooperative, enthusiastic and professional contribution to this project will be significant for future collaboration opportunities,”stated Giovanni Vitiello, head of program management at Geven.
