TSI Seats enters brand-building programme

Turkish aircraft seating manufacturer, TSI Seats, has been accepted into the TurQuality Support Program, an initiative that aims to expand Turkish brands globally. TSI Seats is the first aircraft cabin interior company to enter the programme.

TurQuality is an accreditation system designed to make the products of its member companies international benchmarks, and to create awareness of key values such as quality and novelty. As a “national brand-building programme”, TurQuality’s goal is to facilitate and support the success of Turkish brands on the international stage.

Entry to the programme may assist TSI Seats with its aim of becoming a top-five aircraft seat manufacturer in the global market by 2025, which it is preparing for by rapidly increasing its production capacity from 50,000 pax per year, to 100,000 pax per year over the next few years.

TurQuality believes that long-term international success is almost impossible for companies only focusing on export figures and not the importance of building a strong brand. In 2019, with the aim of strengthening its global brand, TSI Seats set its goal of joining the TurQuality programme, examined its targets for entry, and spent the next 12 months preparing.

Under the terms of the TurQuality programme, the Turkish government pays 50% of costs relating to patent / utility model and trademark registration; expenses related to environmental and quality certificates; employment costs in foreign countries; promotional materials, advertising and marketing activities; expenses related to foreign entities; consultancy expenditures for institutionalisation; and management and IT consulting costs.
