LSG Sky Chefs has extended its contract with Delta Air Lines in Detroit (DTW), Michigan, by another five years. The deal includes provisioning the carrier’s mainline flights and some of its commuter shuttles out of Detroit with full catering and commissary services.

Under the extended contract, the LSG Sky Chefs Customer Service Center in DTW will serve an average of 260 flights and produce about 10,000 meals per day for the airline at this location. Delta’s operation in DTW includes narrow- and wide-body aircraft that serve its US domestic network as well as some locations in Europe (AMS, LHR, FCO, FRA and CDG), Asia (ICN, PEK, PVG and NRT) and Latin America (GRU).

This business win is an addition to the extension LSG Sky Chefs had already secured with Delta on a worldwide basis, which includes a total of 39 locations in the US (27 locations), Belgium, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Turkey, South Africa, Panama, Guam and Saipan.

LSG Sky Chefs has been partnering with Delta globally since 2005. Services include traditional catering and commissary, plus buy-on-board products for some US domestic flights. In total, LSG Sky Chefs provides catering services to more than 1,000 Delta flights per day.
