April 5, 2016 –– Lithuanian leisure carrier, Small Planet Airlines, has selected UTC Aerospace Systems to replace the fluorescent lighting systems on its fleet of eight Airbus A320 aircraft fleet with LED cabin wash lighting as part of a cabin refreshment program. The airline is using the system to reinforce its branding by creating personalized cabin color lighting scenes, with a number of unique color schemes selected that were inspired by its logo and seat coverings.

“We are extremely happy with the way in which the LED cabin lighting now adds a fun element, enhancing the passenger flying experience on our aircraft, said Erich Ceru, chief technical officer for Small Planet Airlines “This cabin upgrade program was on a short timetable but UTC Aerospace Systems delivered on their promises with their ‘plug and play’ lighting system, providing a fast installation retrofit, with no additional aircraft changes required, while giving a dramatic and dynamic refresh to our cabin environment.”
