March 19, 2015 – LSG Group subsidiary, Spiriant, has been selected by Qantas as a supplier for its new economy class dining experience. The concept, designed by Qantas, was based on ongoing customer feedback for larger meal sizes, faster service and greater choice.

“Our new inflight dining experience will set a new standard for the five million economy customers traveling across Qantas’ international network each year. We were pleased to partner with Spiriant for their design expertise to deliver a new range of meal items that make up such a key part of our service” said Qantas’ head of customer experience and creative development, Kylie Morris.

Angie Fung, director Spiriant Asia/Pacific added, ” What we really found innovative was that Qantas wanted to highlight the service of their main meal with their custom designed under plate, which replaces the traditional tray set-up and underlines the new Qantas meal concept”.

Spiriant has also provided Qantas with products including cutlery packs, casseroles, under plates, plastic and foil lids, as well as luxury duvets in business class.
