Minsheng Financial Leasing (MSFL) has signed a cooperation agreement with FTS, a wireless inflight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) supplier based in Beijing, to provide high-speed inflight connectivity systems for its fleet of more than 300 corporate aircraft.

Under this cooperation agreement, FTS and MSFL will collaborate to develop full-scale connected aircraft and digitalisation systems for MSFL’s current and future corporate jet fleet. FTS’s XStreamSAT Ka-band satellite connectivity system has received CAAC, EASA and FAA STC certification and was successfully launched on Qingdao Airlines’ A320 aircraft.

This project will include aircraft satellite broadband connectivity systems, inflight entertainment systems, smart cabin management, inflight IOT and ground operations platforms.

MSFL is the largest overall financial service provider of corporate jets in Asia, with more than 90% of China’s corporate aircraft market share. The company has partnerships with all major aircraft manufacturers including Gulfstream, Dassault, Bombardier, Embraer, Airbus and Boeing, with its fleet serving China, Asia Pacific region and some European countries. MSFL has a fleet of around 300 aircraft: to put that into context, by the end of 2019, China had a total fleet of 464 operational business jets.
