Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic) has announced that it will be providing inflight entertainment (IFE) for Kuwait Airways’ new fleet of eight Airbus A330-800neo aircraft, deliveries of which will begin in the second quarter of 2020. Kuwait Airways will be the first airline in the world to operate the A330-800neo, and the airline will use the aircraft to develop its long-haul network.

The airline has ordered Panasonic’s X series IFE systems, the same technology already flying on its fleet of Airbus A320 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, featuring full HD touch screens and touch video handsets, complemented with electronic device charging facilities (universal and USB charging).
