November 12, 2015 – Oman Air has celebrated the delivery of the first of its six B787 Dreamliners on order. Oman Air –the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman – has specified the AVANT Android-based IFEC system from Thales, combined with Touch PMU handsets. The airline has also worked with Thales to create a customized passenger experience interface.

Abdulaziz Al Raisi, Oman Air’s chief officer for management affairs, said, “Oman Air is currently undergoing an expansion program that will see us operate 70 aircraft by 2020. As our fleet grows, we remain committed to ensuring the highest standards of passenger experience. The inflight entertainment systems we deploy are a key part of that experience and we have already received very positive customer feedback.”
