PaxLife weds Thomas Cook with W-IFE

April 10, 2017 – Thomas Cook Group Airlines has struck a deal that will see PaxLife provide its inflight wireless IFE service, with entertainment, information and shopping streamed to customers’ personal mobile devices.

The PaxLife solution comprises of a Rockwell Collins FFP-2 Server and NGA Wireless Access Points, which together have been proven capable of streaming video to every passenger simultaneously the airline’s narrow-body fleet. The system is also intended to boost the airline’s ancillary revenue, through paid-for content, real-time credit card payment, as well as air-to-ground chatting a reality without the need for heavy antennas – a claimed first in Europe.
