Porter Airlines, the Toronto-based regional carrier, has selected West Entertainment as its inflight entertainment (IFE) content service provider (CSP). The terms of the deal cover the provision of IFE on Porter’s Embraer 195-E2 fleet equipped with Viasat’s wireless IFE streaming system, starting 1st February, 2023. West Entertainment will manage curated programming, acquisitions, digital encoding and AVOD management requirements.

Passengers flying with Porter will be able to access IFE content from West Entertainment, including the latest Hollywood and Canadian content. Choices will include everything from the newest box office blockbusters and classic movie titles to top-ranking TV shows including boxsets, trending TV series, kids programmes and documentaries. Passengers can also browse a section titled ‘Mr Porter’s Picks’, which highlights a selection of the airline’s favourite titles.

Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Porter Airlines said, “We’re excited about our partnership with West. After a thorough evaluation process, we found a trusted partner who understands our brand and our requirements while developing innovative content services.”
