August 5, 2015 – A.W. Hainsworth has announced the purchase of Replin Fabrics from Moorbrook Textiles. Replin Fabrics is a designer and manufacturer of fabric for national and international transportation.

Replin will continue to offer technical, bespoke designed and engineered products for the aviation and rail sectors and by the end of this year all manufacturing will be integrated from the current activity in Peebles, Scotland into A.W. Hainsworth’s manufacturing and innovation centre at Spring Valley Mills, Leeds in England.

The Hainsworth family have been producing textiles in Leeds since 1783 and the company holds several global patents in the area of heat and flame protection.

Thomas Hainsworth, managing director of Hainsworth Technology, said: “Replin fabrics is a fabulous complementary addition to the A.W. Hainsworth textile portfolio, further enhancing Hainsworth fire testing, manufacturing and design and innovation capabilities.”

Carla Wiseman, sales and marketing director of Replin, added, “Replin Fabrics has a strong global reputation for delivering high-quality products to discerning customers worldwide and is a natural fit for Hainsworth. We look forward to continuing to service our existing customers and to winning new business with the continued investment in design and product development.”
