Kydex and Allen Extruders have officially come together as Sekisui SPI. The creation of this new global business is part of Sekisui Chemical’s long-term strategy to strengthen its current investment in the plastics manufacturing and thermoforming industry. Sekisui SPI is headquartered in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania with a second location in Holland, Michigan.

“By bringing Kydex and Allen together we are setting a new standard of excellence for the plastics industry to think, design, and create,” said Ronn Cort, president and COO of Sekisui SPI. “The combined research and development capabilities and products of the many Sekisui companies will continue to result in better solutions for our customers.”

Through support and financial backing of Sekisui Chemical, the new company will provide customers with access to new global resources in technology and R&D as well as improved manufacturing processes.

“The name is new,” said Cort, “but you know us. We are the same people you have relied on in the past, with the same commitment to create safer, lighter products that exceed the demanding aesthetic requirements of the markets, industries, and businesses we help build.”
