September 8, 2015 – Astronics PGA Avionics, a specialist in seat motion systems, lighting systems, in-flight entertainment & connectivity systems (IFEC) and cabin management systems (CMS), has announced that a Boeing 747-8 VVIP aircraft has been outfitted by a completion center in Switzerland with a comprehensive, customized IP IFEC/CMS solution from the company.
The CMS can control the entire cabin, including the IFEC technologies, which include full HD screens, touchscreens, audio/visual sources and passenger control units. The CMS simplifies control of the cabin environment from lighting and temperature to door closures. Astronics PGA has also integrated the latest technologies for DRM (Digital Rights Management) and games.
