Cabinair Group and Summit Lenso have announced a strategic partnership to establish an aircraft modification and cabin solutions platform in the Asia-Pacific region, with initial operations focused on Thailand.
The collaboration pairs Cabinair Group’s European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)-certified design, certification and modification capabilities – covering Part 145, Part 21G and Part 21J approvals – with Summit Lenso’s AS9100 and National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP)-certified aerospace manufacturing facility and its established presence in the Thai aviation market.
Together, the two companies aim to deliver aircraft modifications from engineering and certification through to manufacturing, installation and in-service support. The partnership is intended to enable faster project execution and local delivery for airlines and operators across the region.
Vito Mirko Giacovelli, commercial director at Cabinair Group, said, “By combining our certification and engineering capabilities with strong local expertise, we can offer a faster, more flexible and more efficient way to support airlines and operators in the region.”
Tatiya Meemeskul, president of Summit Lenso, said, “Partnering with Cabinair Group allows us to expand into certified aircraft modification programmes while building on our manufacturing strengths. This collaboration positions us to play a more active role in supporting both regional and international aviation customers.”
Cabinair Group, headquartered in the UK, already operates in the Asia-Pacific region through its Sri Lanka-based subsidiary AeroKnow, acquired in 2024. The group also has facilities in Italy, Latvia and the United States. Summit Lenso is part of the Summit Corporation group in Thailand.
Asia-Pacific is a significant focus for the partnership, with the region experiencing sustained fleet growth, increasing demand for connectivity upgrades and a need for cabin refurbishment solutions. Thailand is identified by both companies as a strategic hub offering geographic access to Southeast Asia’s fleet and a developing aviation services ecosystem.
