August 30, 2017 – Beginning September 1, Delta Air Lines is refreshing its Delta One amenity kits with something a little special. The airline worked with Buzz, a developer and manufacturer of amenity kits, as well as renowned luggage company, Tumi, to create what they say is a “world-first” personalized amenity kit.
Having been presented with a kit on board, customers then have the option to visit any Tumi retail store (aside from outlet and airport locations), where staff will add a monogrammed patch on the front of the kit as a complimentary service.
The kits, inspired by Tumi’s ’19 Degree’ luggage collection, will contain Kiehl’s ‘Since 1851′ skincare products, hand cleanser, a mouthwash stick and Tumi eyeshades, as well as updated striped socks. The kits will also feature Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 and grapefruit-scented deluxe hand and body lotion with aloe vera and oatmeal, a dental kit featuring Crest toothpaste, tissues and earplugs.
“Every detail incorporated into our Tumi amenity kit has been thoughtfully selected with our customers’ needs and preferences in mind – no matter how big or small,” said Allison Ausband, Delta’s SVP for inflight service. “We are excited to offer customers the ability to monogram their amenity kits and create a personalized souvenir to take with them as they jetset across the globe.”
