Aircraft orders at Farnborough Airshow hit US$85 billion

The first four days of Farnborough International Airshow (20-23 July) generated £62.9 billion ($84.7 billion) in announced aircraft orders (mostly Airbus, Boeing and Embraer). In total, 353 firm aircraft orders were placed at the show, alongside 904 firm engine orders (mostly LEAP/CFM, Pratt & Whitney, and GE).

The figures have been gathered by ADS, the UK aviation trade association, whose figures also show that these additions to the order book will generate more than £10.8 billion in economic value to the UK economy alone.

It has been another hugely successful week at Farnborough International Airshow. With record visitor and exhibitor numbers, high-level ministerial delegations from around the world, and a strong commercial orderbook, Farnborough has once again demonstrated its unrivalled ability to bring industry, government and international partners together to do business.

As the industry builds on the engagement and partnerships developed over the past four days, ADS will continue to champion our sectors, helping businesses connect with customers, access new markets and seize opportunities for growth.

ADS’s Aerospace Outlook finds that in 2025, the UK aerospace industry generated £41.5 billion in turnover; £30.6 billion in exports; and supports a workforce of 113,000 people. The Outlook can be read in full here.

ADS is the trade association representing the UK’s aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. Farnborough International is the events business responsible for the Farnborough International Airshow, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the ADS Group.
