Thompson Aero Seating has announced that Hainan Airlines is the launch customer for its Vantage full-flat seat platform in China. The airline, based in Hainan, China, will install Vantage seats on its Airbus A321neo fleet, with entry into service expected in 2027.
The deal marks the first time Hainan Airlines has introduced a new-generation full-flat business-class seat on its narrowbody fleet. The A321neos will have eight-seat business-class cabins.
The contract also represents an important step in Thompson’s drive to expand its market presence in the Chinese market, bringing its popular seating platform to one of the region’s leading premium carriers.
