The Bucher Group has been selected to become a supplier-furnished equipment (SFE) supplier of galleys and stowages for the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.
A key part of the SFE offer is Bucher’s G1B galley, which has been developed over the past three years. The G1B is engineered to meet CS 25.795 standards, ensuring resistance to full cockpit intrusion and penetration. The galley features a reinforced, rugged structural barrier that has been designed to withstand extreme physical loads and forced entry attempts.

Bucher says its advanced energy-absorbing capabilities effectively neutralise kinetic threats to cockpit security. The details of the ballistic shield used in the G1B are confidential, but Bucher confirms that the design is fully compliant with the highest applicable safety and certification standards.
Bucher’s focus is exclusively on the development of bespoke, out-of-catalogue galleys and stowages that are tailored to the specific branding and operational needs of individual airlines. The award of projects is determined by Airbus.
Starting this year, Bucher will deliver its first highly customised SFE galleys and stowages for the Airbus A320 family.
