Uzbekistan Airways has entered into a contract with Jiatai for the supply of aircraft seats for its new Airbus A321neo fleet, including the JT220B Premium electric business-class seat, for which it is launch customer. The deal with Uzbekistan Airways, the national airline of Uzbekistan, also marks Jiatai’s first aircraft seating order in the Central Asian market.
Jiatai, a Chinese developer and manufacturer of aircraft seating, will supply the JT220B Premium seats (equipped with seatback in-flight entertainment systems) and JT520E economy-class seats for more than 10 of the airline’s A321neo aircraft, expected to be delivered from 2028 onwards. Delivery of the first shipset of seats is scheduled for March 2028.
The JT220B Premium is an electrically adjustable business-class seat featuring an electric actuation system, integrated reading and ambient lighting, privacy dividers, headrest wings, enhanced-comfort cushions, a generous seat pitch, and a zero-gravity seating position.
