United is switching to Starlink inflight connectivity, a process that involves removing existing wi-fi connectivity equipment, installing a Starlink system, including an internal reinforcement structure, external antenna, main cabin wireless access points and power supply.
The team then runs system checks, re-seals any aircraft parts opened during the installation, and tests the system again – and all in just four days rather than the usual 10. This time lapse video shows how they do it
