American Airlines gets saucy with Smash Kitchen

Smash Kitchen condiments such as tomato ketchup complement American Airlines' Classic Sliders and Fries option

Customers on board select domestic American Airlines flights can now enjoy a little extra zing in their inflight meals through a new partnership between the airline and Smash Kitchen, the food brand known for bold flavours and real ingredients.

Smash Kitchen was co-founded in 2025 by Glen Powell, a Texas native and award-winning actor. Its organic condiments and cooking oils made from simple, clean ingredients and without additives, have quickly become a hit. The American Airlines deal marks Smash Kitchen’s debut in inflight catering.

Passengers who order the airline’s popular Classic American Sliders and Fries option will now be able to complement their meal with Smash Kitchen’s premium condiments, including tomato ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard.

Smash Kitchen’s premium condiments are served onboard in sachets, including tomato ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard

These exclusive inflight offerings are available for domestic First Class customers when preordered through the airline’s website (aa.com) or American’s mobile app. Customers in the Main Cabin (economy class) can also enjoy Smash Kitchen condiments when they purchase the seasonal sandwich option.

“Smash Kitchen brings an energy and flavour profile that aligns perfectly with American’s commitment to offering customers a more premium, more memorable inflight experience,” said Rhonda Crawford, American’s SVP of customer experience and design strategy. “We’re excited to introduce these sauces on board.”

This Smash Kitchen partnership is the latest in American’s onboard dining lineup, joining Pecan Lodge (Texan barbecue) on select flights, Champagne Bollinger on all Flagship international flights, and Lavazza coffee coming on board this spring.
