Lufthansa’s Allegris First Class Suite has won the Product Design category in the 2026 Red Dot Design Award. The honour has been shared between Lufthansa and PriestmanGoode, which was the design agency for the suite.
The Allegris First Class cabin features two individual suites and a ‘Suite Plus’ double suite, each with floor-to-ceiling walls, privacy doors, and a personal wardrobe.
The seats in the individual suites are almost 1 metre-wide, giving space to change position during a long flight, with climate controls to adjust seat temperature. Guests can watch inflight entertainment on the 32 inch screen (they can also connect their personal devices to the system to stream content) and pair wireless headphones via Bluetooth.
The even larger Suite Plus can be enjoyed by solo travellers willing to pay for the additional space, or couples wishing to share a luxury travel experience. The two seats in Suite Plus can be converted into a double bed, and the suite features a larger, 42 inch display.

“With Allegris, we set a high standard from the very beginning: to create a flight experience that combines design, comfort, and individuality at the highest level,” said Caroline Drischel, senior vice president of customer journey at Lufthansa Group. “The Red Dot Award and more than two million satisfied passengers who have already experienced Allegris confirm that we have succeeded.”

Allegris has won several awards since its launch in 2024. Business Class variants have received the 2024 German Design Award, the German Innovation Award, the Business Traveller Award for Best European Business Class, and the International Design Award. Allegris was also a runner up in the 2023 Crystal Cabin Awards.
The Allegris cabin is currently available on 10 Lufthansa Airbus A350-900s operating from Munich and 12 Boeing 787-9s from Frankfurt. An Airbus A350-1000 variant is planned to enter service with Allegris this autumn, with the Boeing 777-9 to follow in spring 2027. Lufthansa states that 35 Allegris-equipped aircraft will be in service from Frankfurt and Munich by the end of 2026.
