The organisers of APEX FTE Expo, which is taking place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore on 18-19 November 2026, report that they have already sold 85% of the exhibition floor space.
Explaining the sales success with the event six months away, Steve O’Connor, commercial director at APEX, explained that that the economics of the Singapore venue and new initiatives by the FTE and APEX teams have made it more favourable for exhibitors than at the previous venue (the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center), citing a projected combined saving of US$100,000 for exhibitors compared with the cost of exhibiting in the USA.
The 2026 expo marks the first time the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) has held its flagship event in Asia for a decade, and the first time it has been co-hosted with Future Travel Experience (FTE) outside of the USA. The 2027 event will also be in Asia, with the event already confirmed to take place Seoul, South Korea, signalling a longer-term commitment to the Asia-Pacific region.
“With each passing year, APEX is moving closer to building an industry-leading mega-event together with FTE that represents the passenger journey from the moment they begin making their way to the airport until their foot crosses the threshold at their destination accommodation,” said Dr Joe Leader, CEO of APEX Group.
“By moving the show to Singapore, and staying in Asia in the longer term, we are placing our members at the epicentre of passenger experience innovation, where networking and learning opportunities are bound to leave a lasting impression,” he added.
A first at APEX FTE Expo 2026 is that the International Flight Services Association (IFSA) will have a branded zone on the exhibition floor, with a number of its member companies already confirmed to exhibit. The addition brings APEX, FTE and IFSA together under one roof for the first time.
“We knew that in order to win back member trust and buy-in, we had to do something bold with our headline event,” said Steve O’Connor. “Exhibitors who have not been on the show floor for a few years are now returning, and they will be taking part alongside a considerable number of companies exhibiting at the event for the first time.”
Each exhibitor will have access to both the conference areas and the event’s networking programme. O’Connor noted that global airline attendance at previous APEX regional events bodes well for strong airline engagement for the Singapore show, with around 3,000 delegates expected to attend.
More information on the event is available on the APEX FTE EXPO site.
