Embraer has completed the acquisition of an additional stake in its aircraft interiors joint venture with Safran Cabin, along with certain assets related to its operations in Brazil.
Embraer has now acquired the remaining 50% stake in Mexico-based EZ Air Interior Limited, a joint-venture established in 2012 between Embraer and C&D (now named Safran Cabin) in Chihuahua that has exclusively supported Embraer programmes, producing components such as luggage bins, galleys, lavatories, and floor panels for the E-Jets family.
Under the terms of the agreement, part of Safran Cabin Brazil’s operations in Jacareí, which are also dedicated to Embraer programmes, will be integrated into Embraer. The engineering services activities of Safran Cabin Brazil that are not dedicated to Embraer will remain with Safran.

“Embraer is continuously evaluating opportunities to create value for its stakeholders, and this agreement supports our strategy to expand operations in both the short and long term,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, president and CEO of Embraer.
“I would like to thank Safran Cabin for this successful long-term partnership, and warmly welcome the new colleagues joining Embraer. Together, we will continue to deliver excellence driven by safety, quality, efficiency and sustainability.”
Embraer says the transaction was completed upon obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals and fulfilling customary conditions.
