Executives at Embraer, the Brazilian aerospace manufacturer, have met with the company’s best suppliers of the year for the latest Embraer Supplier Advisory Council (ESAC) meeting. The event, hosted at Garmin’s headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, USA, featured discussions on collaborative initiatives that can strengthen the aerospace supply chain through digitalisation, automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and operational efficiency.
During the ESAC meeting, council members shared the collaborative initiatives developed over the past year in areas including automation, inventory management, AI, systems integration, and manufacturing process acceleration. The projects underscore a shared commitment to enhancing productivity, quality, resilience, and competitiveness across the aerospace value chain.
Participating suppliers at the ESAC meeting included ASE (Aerospace Electrical systems, based in Italy), Fokker Services (an aerospace services company based in the Netherlands), Globo Usinagem (a machining specialist based in Brazil), Hexcel (a composites supplier based in the USA), Moog (a motion control systems supplier based in the USA), Pratt & Whitney (an aircraft engine supplier based in the USA), and SAP (a multinational software corporation based in Germany), and aircraft interiors specialists Diehl Aviation (Germany) and FACC (Austria).
“ESAC continues to be an important platform for collaboration between Embraer and our strategic partners. The success of the initiatives presented demonstrates how knowledge sharing and joint solution development can generate tangible benefits throughout the supply chain while strengthening our ability to meet growing demand in the global market,” said Roberto Chaves, Embraer’s executive vice president, global procurement and supply chain.
