This is a big week for Starling Aerospace, as the company has announced that it has gained status as an approved supplier to Boeing, and is also preparing to launch new seating models. The UK-based manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior products already holds the necessary approvals and technical capability to design, engineer, manufacture and certify interior monuments for Boeing commercial platforms.
“Achieving approved supplier status from Boeing not only underscores our engineering rigour, manufacturing quality and deep understanding of its cabin requirements, but also validates Starling’s commitment to delivering world-class cabin interiors for next-generation Boeing aircraft,” said Coralie Wigg, co-founder and director of Starling Aerospace.
Starling was recently appointed to deliver a series of luxury seat modifications across an airline customer’s long-haul Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 fleets. The project, which is expected to run until 2030, will also see Starling undertake the design, manufacture and certification of all-new monuments across the airline’s B787 fleet, whilst working closely with Boeing.
New Starling seat launches
Starling Aerospace has also shared that it plans to unveil a new aircraft seating models at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg next month (14-16 April).
The new models are designed for single-aisle aircraft, hence their ‘SA’ product designation. The SA4000 is an economy-class seat, designed with a focus on weight efficiency, passenger comfort, durability, and simplified maintenance.

AIX visitors can also see the launch of the SA5000, a dual ‘club style’ platform developed for premium-class cabins of commercial airlines, as well as the corporate jet sector. The SA5000 will feature a modular architecture engineered in-house at Starling, advanced connectivity integration, and bespoke comfort options.
Starling will also show its work in developing a next-generation, fully customisable VIP seating platform for private jet operators. The seat, named the SA6000, will feature 357 degree rotation, handcrafted luxury materials, integrated smart controls, and flexible configuration options.
The new SA-designated seating portfolio has been engineered for cross-platform adaptability, including compatibility with Airbus, Boeing, Cessna and Embraer cabin geometries, and other private jet models.
“At AIX we are not simply launching new seats; we are showcasing our expertise in creating unique and scalable seating architecture that is suitable for economy layouts, corporate cabins and ultra-luxury VIP aircraft,” added Coralie Wigg.
