Satellite communications company, Viasat Inc, is introducing a simplified service plan structure and suggested retail pricing for its JetXP in-flight connectivity (IFC) services for business aviation.
There are now three service tiers of JetXP to suit different usage levels, ranging from a light-use option to unlimited connectivity, available across Honeywell Aerospace JetWave and JetWave X terminals, and Gogo’s Plane Simple Ka terminals.
Viasat says the new service plan tiers deliver more value at each level, more competitive pricing, and reflect the expanded capacity now available across Viasat’s global network.
Manufacturer Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs) are also being published for all service plans using the JetWave X and Plane Simple Ka terminals, giving operators a consistent, publicly available reference point when evaluating IFC options and estimating costs.
MSRPs start from under US$11,000 per month for an unlimited connectivity plan, with fixed retail pricing for the entire term of the service agreement. Details of all MSRPs are available on the Viasat website.
The service plans were developed in consultation with Viasat’s partners and customers. Viasat says it received feedback from private jet owners, flight departments, charter operators and fleet managers that they wanted a simpler way to select the right level of IFC services for their needs, and a clearer way to understand the costs involved.
This feedback was reinforced by the 2026 Business Aviation In-Flight Connectivity Survey, conducted by Corporate Jet Investor (CJI), which found that 42% of principals rank complicated and inflexible service plans among their top frustrations.

“Business aviation operators have told us clearly that they want in-flight connectivity they can rely on and pricing they can plan around,” said Don Buchman, president of aviation at Viasat. “With our most advanced global satellites now fully operational, we can offer both.
“At a time when operators are navigating unpredictable pricing elsewhere in the market, offering fixed-term plans with suggested retail pricing reinforces our commitment to being a partner operators can continue to trust, not just for performance, but for certainty,” he added.
Wider ViaSat-3 coverage
The service plan announcement comes at an important time in Viasat’s global network. With the entry into service of the ViaSat-3 F2 satellite across the Americas in September 2026 and ViaSat-3 F3 across Asia-Pacific a month earlier, the ViaSat-3 constellation is now fully operational, joining ViaSat-3 F1 to triple the bandwidth available across Viasat’s global fleet.
All three of the commercial communications satellites feature intelligent beamforming technology with the ability to dynamically follow private jets across the coverage area for a consistent connectivity experience.
