IndiGo, the Indian low-cost airline, has announced a five-year agreement with West Entertainment to supply streaming inflight entertainment (IFE) content and services onboard its Airbus A321XLR fleet.
Under the agreement, West Entertainment, together with its content partners Shemaroo Contentino and Images in Motion, will deliver a catalogue of on-demand content tailored for IndiGo’s diverse inbound and outbound audiences. The content can be accessed on passengers’ personal electronic devices.
The IFE content lineup will include a mix of Indian and international entertainment, including films, television, OTT content, music, and games, to suit a wide range of viewer ages.
Vinay Malhotra, head of global sales at IndiGo said of the contract, “As we commence long-haul operations on our new A321XLR aircraft [the airline has orders 69 of the aircraft type], we are excited to offer a wide range of engaging inflight entertainment. This high-quality content is in strategic partnership and collaboration with West Entertainment and can be directly accessed by passengers on their personal devices.”
