Aerospace Technologies Group (ATG) announced at Dubai Airshow that it has signed an agreement to supply its aerBlade electric window shades for Emirates’ Boeing 777 cabin upgrade programme. The agreement extends an existing relationship with the airline, for the supply of shades for its A380, Boeing 777 and A350 aircraft.
ATG has expanded its facility at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai South to meet the needs of the Emirates programme. ATG has doubled the size of the facility, which opened in 2024, to handle increased logistics and refurbishment requirements for electric window shades. ATG sources materials from across the UAE to keep its supply chains close to Emirates’ operations and improve turnaround times.
ATG’s electronically driven window shades are linked to aircraft on-board maintenance systems, enabling performance monitoring and remote updates without removing the shade from the aircraft.
Commenting on the agreement, Mario Ceste, CEO of ATG, said of the investment in the Dubai facility: “The recent expansion of our Dubai facility is delivering on our strategic vision for bringing the people to the work and keeping the source of supply close to the point of use.”
