Zotefoams, a foam manufacturer with clients including Boeing, Airbus and Nike, has appointed Wulfmeyer, an aviation specialist, as its first Approved Fabricator for aerospace under the company’s recently announced Global Partner Programme, a network of selected fabricators, distributors and specialist partners across Europe, North America and Asia.
Wulfmeyer, which is based in Hannover, Germany, develops and manufactures a range of aircraft cabin interior components, including non-textile flooring, precision-engineered foam parts and adhesive systems. The company’s customer base spans commercial and business aviation, including European aerospace OEMs such as Airbus and its complete supply chain.
Zotefoams and Wulfmeyer have been working together for more than 30 years, and this more formal partnership is intended to strengthen Zotefoams’ capacity to serve its aerospace customers through a specialist fabricator with sector knowledge, precision manufacturing capability, and close proximity to key European markets.
For Wulfmeyer, the partnership brings closer access to Zotefoams’ wider product portfolio and technical expertise, creating greater scope to develop new lightweight, high-performance foam applications for aerospace.
Such collaboration within the supply chain can also help aerospace manufacturers meet growing pressure to increase output. With Europe’s aircraft order backlog now exceeding 17,000 aircraft, equivalent to around 12 years of production, and air traffic is forecast to grow steadily through 2026.
“This partnership strengthens how we support customers across Europe, improving consistency, responsiveness and technical collaboration across the supply chain,” said Fabrice Lacroix, EMEA sales director at Zotefoams. “At a time when the aviation industry is under pressure to increase output, closer alignment between material innovation and precision manufacturing will be critical to helping customers scale with confidence and deliver for end users.”
