Air Cambodia is the launch customer for ATR’s new premium seat featuring the ‘X-Space Table’, a plug-and-play design that converts a standard double economy-class seat into a single premium seat within minutes. The seat, based on Geven’s Eterea platform, is still under development, with certification expected in Q1 2027.
Air Cambodia plans to retrofit the seats in 2027 across its fleet of three ATRs serving regional routes (two ATR 72-500s and a ATR 72-600). The business-class section will be fitted with four business-class seats arranged in two rows in a one-one layout, with direct window and aisle access for each traveller.

The ‘X-Space Table’ is part of ATR HighLine, a collection of high-end cabin interiors introduced by the aircraft manufacturer in 2023 in order to grow its presence in the premium regional travel and VIP segments. HighLine is engineered to support flexibility in fleet operations by enabling swift installation and removal, so airlines can quickly switch between full economy and dual-class cabin configurations. This flexibility enables operators to respond to fluctuating passenger demand, seasonal variations or charter-specific requirements with minimal aircraft downtime.

“We are eager to introduce a new business-class offering across our fleet of ATRs, as it will enable Air Cambodia to offer a more refined travel experience while maintaining the agility required in our operations,” said David Zhan, vice chairman and CEO of Air Cambodia. “This solution supports our commitment to providing greater comfort and choice to passengers across Cambodia, while ensuring continuity of service with our single-aisle fleet. It also strengthens our ability to adapt to evolving travel needs.”
