The first of Air India’s newly line-fitted Boeing 787-9 cabins has entered into service, featuring PL3530 premium-class seating and CL3710 economy-class seats supplied by Recaro Aircraft Seating.
Passengers in the premium-economy cabin enjoy a 7 inch recline at a 38 inch pitch, with a calf rest and leg rest with three locking positions to support various seating positions in flight. The PL3530 seats also feature 13.3 inch seatback IFE monitors and USB-A and -C sockets.
In the economy-class cabins, the seats have a recline of 5 inches, and seat pitches of 31 and 32 inches, depending on the seat row. Comfort features of the CL3710 model include cushions with ergonomic support, six-way adjustable headrests with built-in neck support, as well as as 11.6 inch seatback IFE monitors and USB-A and -C connectivity.
Throughout the premium economy and economy cabins, all aisle seats include a cabin crew step for easier overhead bin access for passengers and crew.
