Capza, a European private investment platform, has taken an equity position in UUDS Group, a manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior hardware, to strengthen its capacities and support its plans for international expansion.
UUDS, headquartered in Roissy, France, was founded in 1981 by Gilles Nègre as a manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior equipment, with clients now including airlines and OEMs across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with a planned expansion into the USA.
UUDS Group is now led by CEO Julian Ehrhard, with a portfolio including custom equipment for business class and first‑class cabins, backed by expertise in design, engineering, certification, manufacturing, installation, spare parts, and maintenance.
UUDS customers include Emirates, Air France, Airbus Atlantic, Safran, and Daher, with products and services delivered through a network of nine sites around the world with DOA, POA and MOA certifications.
UUDS Group’s recent acquisition of Satys Cabin has strengthened its position in the cabin equipment sector, expanded its expertise in composite materials, and accelerated its entry into the line-fit interiors segment.
Capza believes it can support UUDS’s next stage of growth, working closely with UUDS management to accelerate growth and international expansion, both organically and through acquisitions. UUDS management are due to reinvest ‘significantly’ alongside Capza, ensuring full alignment on growth objectives.
