Virgin Atlantic has entered into a new inflight audio content partnership with Stellar Entertainment that will give its passengers access to audio content sourced from across the music industry. Stellar Entertainment says its industry partnerships, which include three major record labels and a network of independent labels, give Virgin Atlantic access to content that is unavailable through other providers.
Virgin Atlantic is using the music content in its inflight experience, beginning with mood-enhancing music during boarding, and depending on the time of day, an upbeat daytime playlist or more mellow sounds to help passengers relax. Passengers can access an extensive selection of curated album collections and playlists throughout flights, including chart-toppers, classics, niche genres and emerging talent.
The partnership with Stellar Entertainment also extends Virgin Atlantic’s audio presence through the airline’s Spotify channel, where anyone can tune in to its new monthly playlists.
This multi-platform approach transforms the airline’s audio content from a purely inflight feature into a valuable engagement tool, allowing passengers to relive their journey or get in the mood for their next one.
Stellar Entertainment will continuously refresh and update the audio content, including monthly updates to Virgin Atlantic’s Spotify channel.
“In a competitive market, creating an experience that connects with guests beyond their flight is a powerful differentiator,” said Cathy Walters, manager for inflight entertainment content at Virgin Atlantic.
“Through Stellar Entertainment’s expertise and access to music, we are building an audio presence that feels memorable and authentic, underpinning our entertainment heritage and continuing to engage with our customers long after their journey.”
