ACS UK (AVIC Cabin Systems UK), which recently opened its order book, is now actively reconnecting with OEMs and airlines to expand its offerable portfolio of aircraft interiors products.
This renewed collaboration is being made to give customers access to more cabin options and strengthen ACS UK’s position in the interiors market. Expanding offerability is a key step in ACS UK’s growth ambitions.
As part of this strategy, in November ACS UK welcomed guests from Airbus to its new engineering facility in Bournemouth, UK, which is the base for its project management and commercial teams. The GB£ 500,000 site is designed to foster innovation and support ACS UK’s plan to increase the number of aircraft platforms on which it is offerable, creating opportunities to secure more tier-one contracts.
November also saw ACS UK host Boeing at its manufacturing site in Cambridge, UK, where much of the testing and certification for its interiors hardware takes place. The facility is undergoing major upgrades to deliver state-of-the art capabilities that will strengthen ACS UK’s global reach. Boeing representatives saw the upgrades first-hand and discussed opportunities to expand offerability.

Nigel McSorley, CEO of ACS UK, stated: “We were delighted to welcome Boeing and Airbus to our facilities and explore opportunities to expand our offerable portfolio. By increasing offerability directly with aircraft manufacturers, we can help streamline installation, making the fit-out process faster, simpler, and more cost-effective for our airline customers.
“Our team has significant expertise in the design, engineering and manufacture of aircraft interiors. While we’ve been focused on delivering the programmes acquired from AIM Altitude, I’m excited that we can now broaden our offerability with products that deliver real differentiation for airlines.”
ACS UK offers full aircraft interiors capabilities, including onboard bars and social areas, front-row monuments, branding panels, stowages, and galleys. The ACS UK team has also been engaging directly with airlines through one-to-one workshops, to showcase its cabin concepts that are designed to elevate the passenger and crew experience.
ACS UK says it has already trebled its targets for the year, with some large contract awards secured with Airbus and Boeing. The additional investments in its facilities and capacity will enable further growth.
